Mood challenges, and even post-traumatic stress, can affect women during pregnancy and the year after birth, even when you have a healthy baby.
Prenatal and postpartum disorders are treatable and respond well to a variety of treatment options, such as medical care and/or individual psychotherapy which may include symptom management skills (DBT, CBT), trauma recovery (EMDR), group support, and/or hypnosis.

Anxiety, Phobias, and Panic
Anxiety is the body’s way of manifesting chonic stress and/or a genetic predisposition. Teaching your body how to turn off its “fight/flight/freeze” mechanism is critical to reducing nervousness, worrying, or phobias.
Stress-mediated disorders such as certain auto-immune dysfunctions, irritable bowel disorder, headaches and migraines, insomnia, and more can be lessened via anxiety management techniques such as mindfulness (MBSR), biofeedback, hypnosis, EMDR, and other complementary techniques.
Phobias and panic disorder respond well similar treatments, without needing to expose you to either the feared object or event, or eliciting a panic episode.

Stress and burnout
Stress and its consequent burnout are two of the leading maladies of our time, and yet few of us really attend to an organized program to build our resilience against stress and burnout. Building resilience can bolster your immune system, enhance your mood, and support healthy relationships at home and at work. Tools such as biofeedback, hypnosis, MBSR, and solution-focused therapy can also reduce your dependence on unhealthy coping devices such as over-eating and smoking.
